Starfish Greathearts Foundation is an international charity responding to the HIV/AIDS pandemic in southern Africa. We work with local community groups to develop their capacity to deliver professional and sustainable services to children who have been orphaned or made vulnerable. Last year alone, we supported over 22,000 children. Starfish invests in the future of thousands of children, making sure that they have the tools they need to become independent young adults. We believe that by empowering grassroots organisations with our knowledge, financial resources and training, communities will be strengthened and children will receive the life, hope and opportunities that they deserve. From crisis support like food parcels, medication and shelter to ensuring children stay in education and achieve their goals; our partners offer a safe haven and holistic care to kids.

It was a real pleasure being Innovation Sports’ Charity of the Year in 2012 which raised a fantastic £2188, allowing us to give 40 children affected by HIV/AIDS the opportunity to go back to school and give 54 children two hot meals a day for a month.

We are really looking forward to being their partner again in 2013 and being able to change more lives with your support!
