Clapham Common 10k Series 2007 - Sunday 11th March 2007

The Innovation Sports team would like to thank all our runners and supporters who attended the first of our 5 races in the Clapham Common 10k Series 2007.

We were glad to be back at the bandstand…finally! And having to change the course slightly in certain areas, we did encounter some teething problems with the route and rest assured these will be rectified for Aprils’ race.

The weather a week prior to the event had been atrocious and with 2 or 3 days to go, out came the sun and it was a massive relief! The rain had played havoc with the common and certain areas were still drenched… All our runners gave a great effort and it proved to be an excellent day for running.

Our respective winners on the day were Rildo Costa of Sporting London Benfica and Clapham Runners very own Justina Heslop. The 2nd place male runner was Matthew Harrison and the female runner-up being Gille Delphine. Our 3rd place runners were Nick Bone and Karolina Bicova. Well done to all of you!

Once again we’d like to thank everyone for their efforts and continued support. We’re continually looking to improve the Clapham Common 10k, with a lot of hard work going into providing our runners with a good event. We look forward to seeing you all next month on Sunday 15th April 2007!
