Finsbury Park 15k

Welcome to the Finsbury Park 15k...Here you will find all the information you need to enter the race!

The course is fully set up with a water station, distance markers at every kilometre and plenty of marshalls to encourage you every step of the way.  The event is fully staffed, with live PA and music to give you a great atmosphere and all the perks of a 'full on' event are there for you to experience...

As always you'll have official timing and results posted as you finish the race and also up on our website within 24 hours.

Registration

The registration area is nearest Manor House gate.  We are situated inside the park parallel to the Seven sisters road.  Please come to the race number collection tent from 8.45am to collect your items.

The Course

Course Map

The course is a flat multi-terrain with some hilly areas, running on both grass and concrete paths.  It is a 3 lap race on a scenic route with cordoned off areas and numerous stewards to help you along the way. Some areas will have caution signs and we ask all participants to be aware of signs posted for your safety.  The course is fully marshalled and sign posted, please stay on the course!

Entry Fee

Entry in advance is £19.50.  Online race entry will close 1 week before the race date. Your place will only be confirmed once we have received payment and issued you with a confirmation email. Entry on the day will be available, but with limited spaces. 

Confirmation of entry

Communication will be via email.  Please monitor your emails as occasionally email filters direct these mails to your ‘junk mail’.  You will be sent a confirmation email with details of the run and instructions for what to do next.  Please contact JLIB_HTML_CLOAKING if you do not receive an email prior to the run.

Race Numbers

ALL runners will collect their race number and timing chip on the RACE DAYRace numbers will NOT be sent out via post. Please arrive at the registration area, which will be open from 8.45am for both registered runners and those who wish to register on the day.  Once you are in possession of you race number, please attach it to the FRONT of your chest and securely strap the timing chip to your shoe lace.  The timing chip has to be worn on you shoe as you will not receive a time if you do not.

Race Capicity

Our race capacity is capped at 800 runners.

Starting The Race

To help the race commence as smoothly as possible, we kindly request that ALL runners use the starting order below as a guide to commencing the race.  This will help fellow experienced runners to set off and to help ease the congestion for the start.  PLEASE NOTE: Your individual time will be clocked as soon as you cross the start line.

Beginner  -   start at back
Intermediate   -   start in the middle
Advanced/Elite runner -   start at the front

During The Race

There will be one water station, distance markers and stewards throughout the course to assist you during the race. We will have a clock positioned next to the start and finish line for you to check your time. Announcements will be made throughout the race!

Chip Timing

Please make sure your timing chip is secured properly to your shoe.  This will ensure your final finish time.  All timing chips will be collected at the finish line, so please make sure you have handed the chip back.

PLEASE NOTE: IF YOUR CHIP IS NOT HANDED BACK, YOU WILL NOT RECIEVE A TIME AND CHARGED FOR YOUR TIMING CHIP.

Timing & Results

Each runner will have a timing chip attached to their RUNNING SHOE.  Your start and finish time will be recorded as soon as you have crossed the start and finish line.  Running times will be provided for all runners who complete the race.  Race times will be available directly after the race on our TV screen and posted on our website under Results in the Running section, usually 24 hours at the very latest.

First Aid

An ambulance & first aiders will be present on site as a precaution.  If you do require medical attention, please see a member of our team who will alert the paramedics.

If you sustain an injury during the race please alert one of our stewards who will assist you or contact the onsite medical team. If you have an existing injury that becomes aggravated during the race then we recommend withdrawing from the race rather than causing further damage.

Toilets

We have portable toilet units on site.

Water

We have 1 water station on our course, this is positioned at the 2.5km mark.  Each runner will then be given a bottle of water as they cross the finish line.

Storage

We have a baggage storage area available to all runners.  This covers a £1 fee at all events.  PLEASE NOTE:  Innovation Sports will not be responsible for any items lost or stolen.

Travel

Free car parking is available on the surrounding roads or you can park inside the park all day for £2.  Nearby Tube stations are Finsbury Park (7 mins walk) and Manor House (3mins walk). 

 


 

FAQ’s

Can I enter on the day?

Entry will be available on the day only if we have not reached capacity.  This will be published on our website to inform you.

What happens once I have registered?
You will receive a confirmation email advising you of your entry/payment.  Further to this you will be sent an email confirming your entry, with instructions and information about the race and collection of your race number.

What happens if I have not received a confirmation email?
Please contact us at JLIB_HTML_CLOAKING and we will make sure you’re entered.
